I, John Michael Delaroderie, was born on 23 May 1955 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am the baby of the Delaroderie clan.
I graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baton Rouge in 1973. The next year I joined the Air Force and married my high school sweetheart, Suzanne Crais. My one and only child, Angela Marie Delaroderie, was born in 1975 in Merced, California.
While in the Air Force I was trained in electronics, and I made electronics repair my lifelong career across several different organisations.
I was divorced in 1992 and never remarried. I was forced to leave the workforce in 2001 for medical reasons, and lived for a time with my sister Leslie in Creole, Louisiana. In early summer 2004 I moved closer to my daughter Angela, in Albany, Louisiana.

At the age of 49, John Michael Delaroderie died of causes related to his inoperable cancer. He was an articulate, colourful man with a good heart, a great sense of humour, and real optimism. His legacy continues in his daughter Angela and his grandson Andon Michael Brabham.
